Sharky's Gift Shop - Ocean Shores, WA

Edge Concrete was approached by the owner of Sharky's Gift Shop in Ocean Shores, WA with an idea to bring some new excitement to the tourist town. From his idea, we created the design/build Shark Head entrance to the store. Once the plan was approved, we had to work fast to complete the project before the prime tourist season. We literally stormed the beach on April 20th, starting demolition and other prep work. The completed Shark Head is approximately 18 feet tall and constructed with structural steel and shotcrete. Its 60 teeth and artificial pilings were prefabricated in our Woodinville shop. In addition to the feature we also constructed new walkways, retaining walls and an ADA access. With some good luck with the weather, we were substantially completed on June 10, 2009.
